Only two of seven Edgartown deeds recorded in August disclose a sale price
Seven deeds were recorded in Edgartown between Aug. 7 and Sept. 5, but only two disclosed a sale price: $400,000 for a condominium unit at 497 Katama Road and $1,356,000 for a house at 177 West Tisbury Road, the period's top sale. Based on those two figures, the median was $878,000. Three of the seven transactions were transfers within families or into trusts, and two others involved a municipal lien certificate and a declaration of homestead rather than open-market sales. With most prices undisclosed, the data does not support a read on whether conditions favored buyers or sellers this period.
